Building for the Future

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome first and foremost to our Centennial Year of Celebration. The years of planning for this monumental achievement have focused on three main themes: recognize who and what got us here, with a nod to the present and a focus on the future.

Part of this process included a day of Strategic Planning, plotting a course for 100 more years of success.

Mission Statement –

The Philadelphia Association of Golf Course Superintendents exists to support turfgrass management, provide valuable member services, and be viewed as a community of professionals supporting and enhancing the game of golf.

While obvious items, such as preserving our legacy, are on the outcomes list, one of the most pressing action items is engaging and providing for the future.

Action Item –  The growth and future of PAGCS scholarships.

  1. Goal – Enhance scholarship programs at the PAGCS with a focus on financial opportunities for scholarships.

With this in mind, the PAGCS is participating in Rounds 4 Research. One key reason: the end users pay to support the future. Auction opens APRIL 21st so we are hitting the ground running.

What’s Next:

What each of us can do:
