About PAGCS

The Philadelphia Association of Golf Course Superintendents exists to support turfgrass management, provide valuable member services, and be viewed as a community of professionals supporting and enhancing the game of golf.

The vision of the PAGCS is to be a premier regional association committed to enhancing the golf course management profession.

The first meeting of the Association was held at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in 1925, making the PAGCS one of the oldest associations of its kind in the industry. An affiliated chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America [GCSAA], we provide services for an average of 350 members each year. Our members represent all aspects of the golf turf management industry. We offer education, networking and support, camaraderie, benevolence, scholarships and much more.
