Golf Competition Format:
Better Ball of Partners – Match Play (18-hole match)
–2 PAGCS vs 2 GCSANJ
1 p.m. shotgun

The 2023 War at the Shore is a Better Ball of Partners 18-hole Match. Each golfer plays his/her own ball throughout but after each hole, only the best score amongst the team members is recorded and counts as the score for the team for that hole.  (max score per player: double par)

Matches are played with handicap and off the low handicap in the pairing.  (*If the low handicap in the match is a 6, that player will play at scratch and the remaining players will have their handicap reduced by 6.)

Scoring:
Each hole is worth 1-point thus 18-points are available in each match.  The winning 2-player team receives 1 bonus point. (If the 18-hole match is halved, the bonus point is split. A tied match is scored 9.5 to 9.5)

*In the event of tie at the end of the competition, a playoff will take place to determine the winning chapter.

Enjoy a relaxing day at the famed Atlantic City Country Club and, at the end of the day, lift a glass in celebration.

• PAGCS members may sign up as singles and the golf committee will pair.
• PAGCS members may sign up themselves and one other PAGCS member to play together as a team.
• *Note: Technically every player in the event is a ‘guest’, so when adding another player, you are technically adding a ‘guest’

Entry Fee: $150 per player.  *All players not using sponsor credit will be invoiced by PAGCS
